Founder & CEO of Fortiva Health — a health entrepreneur working at the intersection of prevention, public health, and scalable solutions for underserved communities.
Alyna is a health entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of prevention, public health, and scalable solutions for underserved communities.
Before founding Fortiva, Alyna led healthcare programme development in Uganda through the Kigezi Healthcare Foundation. As Senior Project Development Manager, she established Uganda's first spinal screening initiative — reaching over 2,000 marginalised children — by building partnerships with orthopedic centres, healthcare providers, and community organisations.
In that role she also designed and implemented training programmes for more than 50 healthcare workers, managed programme budgets, and collaborated with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to integrate services and ensure culturally sensitive programme design. An earlier global-health internship deepened her cross-cultural clinical experience across medical, dental, and public-health settings.
That experience — seeing both the promise of prevention and the gaps in access first-hand — led directly to Fortiva: a venture built to make proven nutrition reach the communities that need it most.

Health promotion, preventative public health, and scalable solutions for underserved communities
From delivering health education in schools to time spent alongside the communities Fortiva serves, Alyna's work has always started with people.
"Prevention is one of the most powerful tools we have. Fortiva is about making proven nutrition reach the people who've never had access to it — through the food they already trust."
